Windows indicates that the reader is installed and authenyec properly and that the drivers are up to date. The fingerprint sensor was working fine until Windows updated the driver about a week ago.
Maybe these different versions are meant for different models, but they appear to be the same driver. I have the excact same problem, but none of the topics from the link are relevant in my opinion. Remove From My Forums.
Not ivsta IT pro? I have a HP dvus. I hope this works for you. I had the same thing happen, and determined that you have to go back to an earlier version of the Authentec driver to make it work.
There is a brand new driver available from Windows Update, but it doesn’t work.

I’ve uninstalled the software digitalpersona Pro and the AuthenTec finger reader driver. I have tried all of the above as well.

I went to the device manager and rolled back the driver, it is working fine now. Tuesday, October 7, 2: I had the same problem with my HP b. The same authdntec happened after and before installing SP1 for Vista.
