Follow these steps to check the print settings for your print job. If you find obstructions in the paper path, skip to the section on cleaning the rollers. This feature of the product helps to avoid wasting ink and paper if the orficejet is not what you expected. Open the printhead and remove the orange caps. They are printed before every job because the printer cannot successfully align itself.
If you are not sure whether the alignment page printed correctly, go to Step Three to print a PQ Diagnostic page to see if the printheads are working correctly. Press peo Cancel button fourteen times. Check the condition of the paper. If there are still dark lines or white gaps in Test Pattern 3, the printer must be serviced. No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system.

Vertical streaks in copies can often be fixed by cleaning the scanner glass. Look for paper that might have jammed inside the product.
If the page printed after cleaning shows no streakingcontinue to the next step. If your prints smear easily, officeet sure you are using a recommended paper.
After retrying alignment, try another print job. Select Print PQ print quality diagnostic page. You must exit the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
